The ADS 360° Plan Check

WHAT WE DO AND WHY IT MATTERS.

The 360° Plan Check is the fourth and final phase of the ADS
Drafting Process. The critical phase where the city or other
permitting authorities review the plans to ensure they are
both complete and fully comply with all codes. Here is what
you need to know, what comes next and what you can expect.

THE TIMELINE

This process takes 3 to 6 months to complete. Understand that your
project then joins a queue of thousands of other projects. While it can
be frustrating, there is no way to speed this up or avoid it. In order to
best mitigate it, we proactively anticipate issues every step of the way.

THE REALITY

However perfect the plans are, and we do everything possible they
are, corrections are always issued. Additionally, building departments are often disorganized, overwhelmed and on occasion issue incorrect
or unrealistic requests. We’re prepared and are always in your corner.

THE ADS ROLE

We begin by managing the entire process for you and will proactively
anticipate everything we can. When issues arise, we ’ll untangle and
demystify the bureaucratic mess, rebut incorrect claims, address all comments to secure the approval of your plans as quickly as possible.

THE NEXT STEPS

When the plan check process is completed, the city will issue a building permit and a stamped set of approved plans. It is at this point you can
now officially begin construction and ADS plans are developed to make
it easier for your builder to bring your vision to life.
